Dewan Mushtaq Group instituted Dewan Farooque Spinning Mills Limited in January 2004 to gain a leadership position in the quality yarn market. The growing robustness in the performance of the commodity in the international market, as well as the increased inclination of European and American manufacturers towards sourcing yarn from Third World countries, a facility that sets the precedent for the production of export-quality yarn, was deemed essential.

DFSML has an installed capacity of 28,800 spindles capable of producing only quality medium to fine count yarns. This state-of-the-art textile spinning unit is based on the best available technology internationally. Rieter was chosen as the technology partner since they have a spinning integrated installation system, enabling them to provide manufacturing technology for premium quality, medium & fine count yarns.

The plant will be producing 7.5 million lbs of yarn per annum, half of which would consist of compact yarn. The project has commenced its commercial production in January 2006.

Stringent raw material selection, testing and the use of only Premium quality cottons available around the globe are our sureties of raw material input. Emphasis however remains on Egypt and USA to be our main suppliers for our quality conscious upmarket local and export customers.

We have based the implementation and execution of our project on internationally recognized best practices. We will ensure that all relevant certifications like ISO 9000, ISO 14000, SA 8000, OEKO TEX etc. are obtained soon after the commencement of the project. We will also implement SAP (ERP Software) in the near future.
